The OCAD Annual

Our Proposal:

We want to make OCAD a better place for students to network and gain valuable student relationships. As second year students, we find there is a serious lack of interaction between our peers, not just within our own programs but within the entire school. The sharing of ideas between artists and designers is truly important, and we are proposing to design an annual publication, highlighting the work of every full time student at OCAD of that year. This publication would be designed and created by the student body, and funded by the school, and possibly if needed an outside sponsor. This publication would be given to every student who contributed, as a resource to showcase, network, and to create a sense of community within the school. The process of creating this publication would be done over the internet, with a web-based template used by student to upload jpegs of their work. The size of the publication would be roughly 9" by 12", and proffesional looking enough that could be used in the students' portfolios. We will be researching the best sustainable way to produce this, as well we will be working out the costs. We are very excited about this idea, and look forward to developing it further, and showing you our results.
