Hi Think Tank,
The lecture on the bottom line of de-carbonization by Toby Heaps was very informative and inspiring. There are a lot of great ideas, and I look forward to following up on these plans at a later stage when they are actually starting to come into effect. My question for Mr. Heaps was "With your experience and knowledge on the Global 100 most Sustainable Corporations in the World, would you say that the financial performance of these Corporations is greatly enhanced due to their methods of Sustainability? Unfortunately, we ran out of time and I was unable to have my question answered. I believe he would have answered it with a definite YES! Although it may be more expensive in the beginning to make a corporation sustainable depending on what methods of Sustainability are being targeted whether it be through sustainable green building, reduced energy targets, etc........ In the end, it is beneficial for the Corporation and the environment benefiting the financial performance, and helping in leaving a smaller impact on the environment. I thoroughly enjoyed the lecture, and am hoping to become more involved in these happenings in the future.

Good question Ashley! I think that you are correct, that ultimately going green is good for the bottom line, if you can be responsible to your shareholders as well as the environment. The thing is that soon, there will be no choice, as consumers and governments are demanding that corporations be accountable for the effects that they have on the environment.
I am glad you got so much out of the lecture!
