Hello team think tank. I apologize to all for my late comming to the blog, but here I am now, with photo and everything.
I wanted to just post quickly that my favorite murmur story from kensington market was on Nassau street on a metal parking sign pole in front of Ronnie's a bar. This site used to be where the bar Pepper's used to reside, right next door to what was once Who's Emma an anarchist run punk shop I used to work at in my early teens. As soon as I saw the location of the sign I thought it would have something to do with pepper's and Who's Emma because they were spots with interesting stories to tell. When I phoned I was pleased that that the story was in fact a young man recalling a very haphazard punk show in the basement of Who's Emma and his wonder and surprise at being served by the grumpy old man behind the bar at Pepper's at the age of 16. He brought me right back to that time in my life with his recollections of the punk shows in the basements at Emma, and the surly embittered stare and service that greeted you next door, (but you kept going back because he would serve you underage no question, and it was cheep!) If anyone would like to call and hear the story the number is 416 915 6877 code# 224623

Thanks for getting up on the blog and posting Claire. What a funny story, and how interesting that you were able to relate the location to your own experiences there!
